Are they your vision for a better America?. I hope not, because you seem far too intelligent to think like that... One thing that definitely needs to change is the snobbish elite view that all Bush voters are ignorant rubes and yahoos... Hm....... What's sauce for the goose is sauce for the gander. Well now, THERE'S a brilliant thesis defense. Wolfgang who, when he sits down to a nicely roasted bird, is not particular as to its gender. |

That's as silly as anything I've read in this thread. Not all Shrub voters are ignorant yahoos, but 75% of them are. That's the silliest thing I've read in this thread. If you believe Saddam Hussein was involved in 9/11 you're so criminally stupid and uninformed you cannot possibly cast an informed vote. Saddam Hussien was *not*, I repeat *not* involved in 9/11, and the Cheney quote that the Dem's were playing ad infinatum was taken out of context. When you hear the whole conversation, the meaning is quite different. That said, Hussein was involved in supporting terrorism. And calling those people stupid is not arrogant or condescending or elitist, it's just flat out true. What people are those Ken? And who the **** are you to decide who votes or doesn't. If your attitude is representative of the Democratic party, and it doesn't change, you are doomed to a generation of Republican administrations. I don't give a **** if you think Lawrence Welk reruns are the only decent thing on TV and that watching Will & Grace makes hair grow on your palms but by God if you're gonna vote you have an obligation to be informed. I didn't care for Lawrence Welk fifty years ago, and certainly wouldn't watch the reruns. The gay marriage issue is not even on my radar. I couldn't really care less about a person's sexual orientation, and in fact, I was disgusted with Kerry and Edwards making the remarks they did regarding Mary Cheney. WTF was that about? The one thing that definitely needs to change in this country is that "liberal" is a dirty word. Liberal didn't used to be a dirty word. It is the current implementation of 'liberalism' that has tarnished it. "What's the Matter with Kansas" by Thomas Frank. Give it a read George, it just might change your mind. Well, i'll have some time over the winter, so I might do just that.
