3-1/2" Tubebait - Because it can be a moss bait, topwater lure, a soft
jerkbait, Bottom bouncers, finesse, and everything in between. And bass
love'em!!!

I'll have to take a 5" Senko.

A couple bags of 5" Senkos, an assortment of bullet weights, some EWG,

Wacky
and straight shank hooks and I'm good to go about anywhere. Fast or slow,

deep
or shallow, cover or none, this bait will do it.

Besides, it'll be a good follow-up bait behind Andrew's Norman crankbait.

;-)

We would clean up pretty good with that combo! :-)

I still need to get that bait on the line and give it a good solid effort.
Tried it last year at Boggs and caught a couple, but that was like shooting
fish in a barrel.

I'll second that, catches them all, big and small! Most versatile bait
there is in my book. Even beats the ever popular worm.

I seem to be in agreement with the other Michiganders here, a tube would
be my choice.

If you went to a new lake and could only use ONE artificial bait/lure;

which
would it be and how would you present it?

Mike

It would have to be a Secret Weapon spinnerbait. Probably a firetiger, but
it might just have to be a wounded shad. I figure I could cover just about
any water I can reach with one of those.

I think it's mostly a patience thing.

I'm sure they catch fish, I just have trouble holding a bait still long
enough to find out! :-)

Most surveys I have seen over the years that involved touring professionals
would agree with that (without specifying a particular color). I am strongly
prejudiced toward spinnerbaits, but that does not change the facts.

Hmm! Only one lure! Probably a 3/8 or 1/2 oz tandem bladed spinner bait in
chartruse/white color.
Reason is that one can cover the entire water column using various

retrieves
from buzzing the surface to slow rolling deep structure. Would work well
through just about any cover without hanging up badly. The chartruse/white
color would cover just about any water clarity from clear to muddy.
T-rigged blue fleck plastic worm would be my second choice.
Keep yer line wet!
