Karen Teresa Fortenberry, October 20, 1977 - March 27, 2006

My daughter passed away yesterday morning after a short illness.
She was 28.

Her remains will be cremated here in Urbana and then we'll
take her to Guntersville, Alabama where we'll have a visitation
and a service on Thursday conducted by her half-sister's pastor.
Her urn will be buried next to her mother who passed away this
last July.

Memorial contributions can be made to the Association of Retarded
Citizens, http://www.thearc.org/ , or the Developmental Services
Center, http://www.dsc-illinois.org/

I'm doing as well as could be expected, by which I mean really
lousy. Keep us in your prayers guys, this is rough.

Our family will be prying for your family, Ken. I can't even imagine what
I'd do under similar circumstances.Let us all know if you need anything!

Ken, I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I discovered the hard way that
I'm no good at dealing with death, it tears me apart, but I'm getting
pretty good at praying. Prayers have gone up for you and your family,
and more will be coming!

"Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as
the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be
afraid." John 14:27

I know I tend to lurk, and I'm sure I can't say anything you haven't heard
already, but I wish you the best getting past this. I have two small
daughters and I can't imagine going through what you're dealing with. My
thoughts are with you.
