You gotta admit Harry, McClellans's Limbaugh impersonation was smack dab
on the money. A real stroke of comic genius, a scathing commentary and a
delicious parody all rolled into one. And as "hoist on his own petard"
commentary goes, that column was FAR gentler than what the big fat idiot
would have put on the radio if the target were a hypocritical "liberal".

Not me. The first few times I heard him on TV and then turned around
to watch a bit, I thought he was a stand up comic, using some Clinton
news as his shticks. Even when I saw enough of it to realize he was
serious and he got on some of his other pet hates, I could never quite
shake that image. He had good writers, excellent timing and good
presence.

I couldn't take him after a while, as I tend to vote Libertarian or
Grass Roots, but I think he could make a new career in comedy, if he
and his audience didn't take him too seriously and he'd make fun of
both major parties. He had a good sense for how to make damfool
things look as silly as they are.
