Gink is probably still one of the most popular floatants on the market. I donīt hear much about his other stuff, but I assume the family are still marketing it. I rather fear that Mr. Siebeneich is right, and there is nothing one can do. My "tactics" don īt really seem to be working either, and they take up a lot of time. For the couple of newbies I might reach here, it is not really worth the effort, quite apart from the flak involved. Things have changed here very considerably over time. There is a great deal of rancour among some of the old guard, and it can never be wiped away really. The best one could hope for would probably be an uneasy truce, and even that is probably not possible with a few people. The attrition will continue, not just as a result of crap on here, but because of better info and less problems at other places. ROFF is really an anachronism now, but it was once the only show in town for many, and it was good too. I think it is more the memory of that which keeps a few folks here, and not the content etc. Oh well, enough rambling, time for bed.................... TL MC |

Actually, Mr. Siebeneich never said, intimated, hinted or suggested any such thing. He merely pointed out that what you do (presumably, given your strong feelings, all that you CAN do) will never work. The same is, of course, true for many others. Meanwhile, the ****-weasels will continue to be hammered.....or toyed with.....or otherwise dealt with as they beg for and so richly deserve. ![]() Wolfgang who remains certain that he is not alone in understanding and grasping the significance of the secret. |

He was obviously quite ill towards the end, and that made him even worse. For quite a long time various people tried to help him, but it did no good really. He was crazy like a fox, not crazy like you. Before he died he knew more about fishing western waters than you will ever know. Many people did not get along with George, but most respected him and were sorry for his wife when he died. His web site still exists; http://www.gink.com/ and his company still appears to be trading. some other interesting stuff as well; http://www.flyfishingjournal.com/archives/pr200001.htm Maybe thatīs whatīs wrong with Kennyboy to an extent as well. I really donīt know, just speculating. You don't know? Goodness. That is the first truth you have spoken. You do not know, nor will you ever know. I could die tomorrow and still not have to worry about you outfishing me if you lived to be 100. You don't fly fish, Connor; you TALK about fly fishing. Big difference. Looking back through some of these old posts is interesting. Rather sad to see all the many many names of people who simply stopped contributing. Some are doubtless now deceased. The camaraderie has totally disappeared. Really? You wouldn't know camaraderie if it rose up and bitcha in da ass. There have also been many "Pleas for sanity" over the years. It never materialised, and I donīt suppose it ever will. I rather fear that Mr. Siebeneich is right, and there is nothing one can do. My "tactics" don īt really seem to be working either, and they take up a lot of time. For the couple of newbies I might reach here, it is not really worth the effort, quite apart from the flak involved. Oh, Connor, you are melting my heart. Your "tactics" were doomed to failure before you even started that crap on roff. If you had not a history of leaving roff in a snit after someone disagreed with you and you became so angry that you picked up your ball and bat and went home, your credibility wouldn't be in such a ragged condition. Your tactics have failed becaus YOU have failed, not only in life, but dealing with people. You are a psychopath who is so filled with himself, you make Gehrke look like an overdone introvert. Most of the rancour in this group can be blamed on politics. There is a schism in the US and it has extended itself to roff. Any crap on here will be dealt with as it always is. That is why you have left roff in a snit more than a dozen times. ROFF is really an anachronism now, but it was once the only show in town for many, and it was good too. I think it is more the memory of that which keeps a few folks here, and not the content etc. If it is sooo bad, Connor, why, pray tell, why are you here? Did you really get kicked off those other sites? Moderated groups don't serve your agenda? Why? It IS the content, as Myron's project has proven. Oh well, enough rambling, time for bed.................... Yeah. It must be lonely in that big bed..... LaCourse |

This guy Wolgang He is a funny dude! A real estute hombre but a bit nuts also At least he is not spewing hate and vile invective He does it in a far more subtle and acerbic manner He often makes me laugh - which is pretty impotant on a fishing newsgroup Thanks Wolfie My two cents Fred |

You seem to forget some of the statements he has made against me, Fortenberry, BJ, Scott, Tom L., and others, including the poor souls that gave him some slack. They were very hurtful words, Jeff. As a kid I could hold my own in any fight, but this is down and dirty street fighting, no holds barred. I wasn't very good at that as a kid. I am now, however, thanks to his nut house. I didn't make the rules - hell, there are no rules. I will give to *******s like Connor and rw as I receive. Leave me alone and I will leave you alone. Simple. Can that be the #1 rule of roff? I doubt it, because someone will say something and someone else will disagree with it, and the war is on again. Look at what rw did to a serious Veterans Day Thread. He filled it with his hatred. It is surprising to me that you fail to come down on Connor who has more than his fair share of injurious words. Is it because you hate Fortenberry? Remember, if you look back on all of this recent crap, it was Connor who stuck his nose in and insulted Fortenberry *for no reason at all.* For gawds sake, Fortenberry was mourning the death of his dog Kipper, and he was sharing that with us. He thought we would understand. But no, we didn't understand. Connor came aboard again with his hate and YOU did nothing about it except encourage it. YOU failed to speak up, Jeff. You are as guilty as anyone else in this ****ing contest because you picked sides. Do you support him and how he treats everyone on this forum that do not agree with him? I doubt you can, but perhaps I am wrong. I am amazed and saddened by you lately. I know you are a decent and passionate man - that is what I love most about you - but I am afread your hatred of Forteberry has jaundiced your eye. Dave |
