I tried ignoring him, it simply doesn´t work. I really don´t know what
you think, or believe, or imagine you know. But this crap has caused a
lot of people to e-mail me, people on other boards where I was a long
time and highly respected member have asked me what is going on and
why.

Have you ever heard the expression "there´s no smoke without fire", or
"Give a dog a bad name"?

You seem to think that these antics are restricted to your own little
world here on ROFF, the fact that they are transmitted to ever more
and more places around the world as syndications, or because some
board owner steals the content and feeds it, seems to entirely escape
your notice.

Several members of this group also posted provocative and insulting
post about me on other boards. They were banned and their posts
deleted, but the damage was done.

It may not be of any concern at all to you what people write about
you, simply because it has no effect on you. What Fortenberry and
these other ****s write about me does have an effect.

The more popular my website became, and it doesn´t really make much
difference to me what you believe, but my site was up to well over
100,000 hits per month, the more people I got asking questions about
the rubbish on ROFF, and some backlash from other boards.

Whether you think I am a pompous prig, or above myself, or know too
much about fly-fishing, or whatever the hell else you think, how
should I know? The campaign these *******s started and continued has
severely affected my reputation in the international angling
community, where I was a respected figure.

It seems there are actually a few people who now believe I am a queer
and hang around railway stations. This is purely a result of the
constantly repeated propaganda here.

You asked me what I suggest? I have no idea what to suggest, if I had
I would have suggested it long ago..

As it is, I have ceased all contributions to other boards anywhere, I
have deleted my website, ( which is also causing my mailboxes to fill
up again), because that is the only way I can see forward.

For many years I have spent a great deal of time trying to help
others, in fly-fishing and in other areas, and I was highly respected
and liked by all I came into contact with. Even on ROFF for quite a
long time. These *******s here have torpedoed that, quite
purposefully.

Do you imagine they don´t know what they are doing, or are somehow
excused because they are stupid or unprincipled?

I am perfectly well aware that my posts here are not doing anybody any
good at all, but at least some people will be reading them and not
making the mistake of trusting you snakes, or imagining that you might
be friends.

There is no way to undo the damage you people have done to me. I have
simply capitulated now, and I don´t post anywhere at all any more, and
I have deleted my site and my forum and also ceased a number of other
projects.

I am not stupid, and I know there is not much I can do about it all.
But what little I can do, I will, and if that involves spending a
great deal of time making sure everybody knows what you are and what
you are capable of, then so be it.

Here is another excellent example of stupidity. This idiot doesn´t
even seem to know where he is, he apparently thinks this is fairy-tale
land or something similar. He sends bundles of abusive post to people
signed "Dick Cheney".

This is fairly typical actually for a huge number of inernet users.
They are just stupid, and quite incapable of sensible communication.
Now one could call him all sorts of things, or tell a few lies about
him, or say he is a child molester or a pervert, and a lot of other
things, but it wouldn´t make any difference to him, as he is quite
obviously a totally stupid non-entity. It would not affect him much
because nobody either knows or cares who he is. If he continues to be
so stupid, he will lose his internet account anyway, because there are
many people who will complain about his abuse instead of simply
ignoring it as the folly of an idiot, as I did.

One other point, which is germane, and you and others constantly
mention, is your staunch avowals of high regard for free speech.

When Fortenberry, Dean and others use this to lie about and defame
others, you apparently think nothing of it, but when somebody who is
being attacked by these people, SIMPLY BECAUSE THEY FEEL LIKE IT and
can do it with impunity, or for whatever other perverse reasons they
have for doing it, then you get all upset and tell me I am crazy or

Have you no sense? Nobody is that stupid. You must know the damage

This in an INTERNATIONAL PUBLIC NEWSGROUP. Not a private discussion
group. The crap you people post is read by who knows how many people
around the world, and is also archived more or less forever so that
any time somebody does a search on my name, they don´t just find my
articles, stories, or website etc, they find all this crap as well.
The same applies if they do a search on apparently innocuous things

intention - the "any publicity is good publicity" method - I have no way of
knowing. Ken doesn't have the power to damage your reputation, but your
responses show your true character. A single, simple response made with some
dignity and without all the vile invectives would have sufficed.

Think whatever you please, it does not change the facts. This latest
"spat" as you put it was only the last in a line, and every time
Fortenberry was responsible.

It also makes no difference at all what you believe, a few simple
enquiries would suffice to ensure what I say is true.

He has also upset and injured many others over time, and they have
simply left, because they had that option.

My mistake was ever coming to this place at all. There is no way to
change that either.

I am certainly going to do my absolute level best to stop anybody else
being hurt by him.

I did not insinuate anything at all. I simply told you the truth. I
have no idea why you people always have to throw in something like
that.

My website was down for a while because the operating costs were
dependent on traffic and the traffic got very high indeed, meaning I
had to pay a lot of extra money for it.

I enjoy helping people, or providing enjoyment and interest, but I
simply can´t afford to pay that amount of money for the pleasure, and
so I had to take it off linen until I found an alternative.

I have all the perspective I want on you people, I only wish it was a
long way behind me.

I don´t know whether your "good wishes", such as they are are sincere,
if they are thank you, and I´m sure I will, AFTER I have dealt with
