At Least Senator Joe is out in the open. Rep Harman (D-Calif) sells
out her country for a committee post. Democratic Congresswoman Harman Recorded by NSA bargaining with Israeli Spies If a full disclosure is published on Democratic Congressperson Jane Harman's screw up, the public might get a real dose of the confused loyalties of some of the Israeli espionage and influence peddling efforts that have long poisoned US policy and national interests in the Mideast. NSA and the FBI were tapping and conducting surveillance on a suspected Israeli espionage cell working out of AIPAC, the main Israeli lobby group based in DC. The target of this cell was the penetration of the Congressional intell committee members and staffers. Three individuals were busted. Messrs Farmer (A christian Zionist Arab hater of long standing), Rosen and Weisman. Farmer was charged, convicted and is serving time. AIPAC quickly dumped Rosen and Weisman, denied involvement, and on occasion has even denied they worked for AIPAC (disinformation.) The Bushies, embarrassed and afraid of the Israeli lobby, sidelined the case and brought waterdowned charges under an archaic 1917 Espionage Act, that carries 10 years for each count. As a result, infuriated counter intelligence professionals have been leaking info on the case because so much of the Washington establishment, both D and R want this thing to go away. The Obama DOJ is just as likely to cave in to the Israeli lobby on this one as was the Bush DOJ. But I don't count the Intell Pros out yet. There is real anger out there because it is believed by some that national security information that passed thru these "lobbyists" has shown up in unfriendly hands, and that Israeli defence industries have sold equipment with sensitive technology believed to heve come from the US. There is also fear that ignoring this problem will inevitably call into question loyalties of Americans conducting secret work, based on their religion. On the tape Democratic Congressperson Jane Harman is alleged to be heard bartering her influence to get the spy charges against Rosen and Weissman to go away in return for Israeli Lobby support for her in the Intelligence Committee hierarchy. So far Harmon and the Israeli lobby have raised a huge smokescreen of "NSA is spying on Congress" which has suceeded thus far in keeping attention away from Harmon's involvement in this espionage case, and the penetration of Israeli agents into the workings and staffing of Congress. "While the case has proceeded at a snail's pace in court, it gained renewed attention Monday after a report from Congressional Quarterly that Rep. Jane Harman, D-Calif., was overheard agreeing to seek lenient treatment for Rosen and Weissman. CQ attributed the information to anonymous current and former national security officials familiar with a transcript of the call recorded by the National Security Agency." "Dave LaCourse" wrote in message .. . Naaaahh. Joe Liebberman by a mile. no one by that name in the US Senate. Trust me. Joe and I go way back, and that isn't the spellingg I will give him high marks as a decent man, but Joe is loyal to his country, which, sadly, has been shown not to be the US, judged by his foreign policy choices(and choices in some of his advisors, btw). Arlen Specter works hard for his constituents, has helped a lot of individuals(many of them, most of them, NOT politically connected), and sticks to his guns. Do I always agree with him? Hell, no, but there is no one, and I mean no one, in PA politics I would rather have represent me in DC. Tom A perfect example of the partisan foothold in the US. The main reason he's switching because he if he doesn't, he's at risk. IOW, if the same guy, who'll vote the same way (more or less), runs as GOP, Obama, etc. won't support him, but if he calls himself a Dem, they will. Same decent guy, same principles, different label. So much for "one America" and bi-partisanship. OTOH, the GOP is being (semi)steered and encouraged (or blood-enraged) by a pack of morons. So, in the end, I don't guess it's so improper to see if the other pack of morons over across the aisle can't be more helpful... At least Joe had the sense to change BY an election. The folks in PA elected a Republican, not a Democrat. If he wants to change to a Dem, do it BY an election, not by fraud. Do as Lieberman did; the Dems didn't want him to win the primary, so he lost the primary. But then he ran as an Independent and the good folks in CT reelected him. Speckey hasn't been a Republican for many years. I'm surprised he took the cheap way out. Thought he had more honor than that. Oh, geezus-on-a-donkey, Dave, he's up in 2010 - if the urbane, savvy and wise voters of PA (certain persons obviously excepted) can't determine who to vote for without a partisan cheatsheet, well, then, they'll get the representation they deserve.... Turn the lights out when you leave. Um, well, maybe all the light-turning-out is a big part of the problem....hey, YMMV... And speaking of non-events, I took a **** this morning when I woke up.... Let me be perfectly clear - I think you are a moron of very little political knowledge or insight - there is something ****ed-up about the GOP (and no, I'm not a member) and you and those whose think and act like you are what's ****ed up about it, just as your counterparts in the Dem party. You are not "a conservative," (or "liberal" or any other legitimate political persuasion of thought and consideration, even if miscalled or self-identified), you are simply an unintelligent reactionary, and IMO, an idiot. And there you are, R |

What about the asshole you have for a senator......what'shisname...... oh, yeah, Dodd. Now *there's* a decent man...........hackvomitspittle..... Really, turn out the light when you leave. Really? Really, REALLY? Try again. "Let's look at the first 100 days of the GOP. The new public spokesmen for the minority opposition are polarizing retreads -- former Vice President Dick Cheney and former House Speaker Newt Gingrich. The so-called new ideas are fewer taxes and less spending. They have lost a key congressional election. They have almost unanimously opposed every economic proposal in Congress. "Their reward? In the latest Washington Post-ABC News survey, only 21 percent now identify themselves as Republicans. Even stalwart GOPers are scared by those numbers, which are at the lowest level in 25 years. "We look like the Keystone Kops," grouses one GOP strategist. "The Americans are at a point where they want something done. And they can't choose when they don't see another option." So, you got those lovely poll numbers working for you. I suggest you carry a flashlight 24/7 from now on, because where your party is heading - nay - already arrived - you're going to need it. |
