Hi Steve,
Only kinding............ I know that Gary Loomis does make some for Cabelas. With the Temple Fork Outfitters, Orvis, Redington and St.Croix low priced rods ($59 and up) in our fly shop, we are selling fly rods to people that would have normally bought from Cabelas, Bass Pro or LL Bean. We are loving it. -- Bill Kiene Kiene's Fly Shop Sacramento, CA, USA www.kiene.com "steve sullivan" wrote in message ... There's actually a misconception that's been going around for many years
about LL Bean rods. The *high end* rods are made by Loomis--true. But the middle of the road rods were made (don't know if they still are or not) by St. Croix. And the low-end rods are made in the Far East. Beans wants (for obvious reasons) people to think that their rods are made by Loomis; but many of them aren't. That, by the way, doesn't make them bad rods--just not Loomis rods. Dave M "sogs" wrote in message ... Anyone know? |

As an extra bonus and to my surprise, the top fits perfect on my old (-92) G.Loomis IMX 15' # 10-11, on which i broke the tip last year. Now the IMX casts superbly with a #9 line. - Richard (from Northern Norway, the land of the Midnight Sun & Atlantic Salmon, and pardon my English) |
