Mu, it's hood to hear from you and, don't tell anyone, but I bought a new
Mitchell 300, 200 yds of 4 wt Stren the other day as well as a 2nd rod stamp. Colorado's DOW is on a tear this year and the fishing looks like it might be good for a change. Of course, I still love my fly rod and have been out to the bass ponds )Sawhill) several times on the warmer days. Done OK too. Your pal, Tim "Mu Young Lee" wrote in message cc.itd.umich.edu... AAMOF, I was just thinking this week I'd like to go yank out a few stockers for dinner one day. (...oh wait, you probably meant real fish.g) Me too. FWIW - I was browsing the CDOW web page. Apparently a few of the major hatcheries are now WD free and they will, once again, be stocking millions of catchable fish this year. The ones that make it to next spring should be delicious. This is great news for all anglers here and don't kid yourself if you think otherwise. There is a video link on the tremendous benefits of the hatchery program to Colorado fisheries, which simply wouldn't exist here in most places without it and which funds the research which protects what we have and makes the indiginous recovery possible and more. If it weren't for hatcheries, there'd be no rainbow trout, the once state fish, in Colorado (So. Platte, Frying Pan, Roaring Fork..i.e. "The Front Nine"). And, they are excellent smoked. Your pal, -- TBone |

Don't be fooled by a few vocal C+R purists. Most of the people here (IMO) enjoy fresh fish, maybe even more often than occasionally. Jon. (and good to see you pop in, Tim. I hope all is well with you and your family on the Front Range. You should hook up with Willi and Charlie some day...) Sounds good to me. Haven't seen Tim in a long time. We definitely need more water, but the hatches have started and the fish are hungry. Willi |
