We're still not sure who does:

"It's hard to kiss the lips at night,
that chew your ass out all day long"

But it's an excellent tune.

Nice reports Mike. I had a blast fishing with all you guys and I'd drive
right back to Montana in a heartbeat to do it again.

That was a fine day. You got the largest fish on a stonefly nymph. Willi
and I showed a large, actively feeding fish four different flies before
he took, and promptly broke off under a logjam. Bruiser was cleaning up
behind us with nymphs. :-)

Actually the story is a bit different, as I remember it. I spotted the
fish and John and someone else gave it a try with no results. The fish
was in a tough spot feeding right below a submerged log. You came
along and did a great job of patiently presenting it with a number of
different flies without spooking it, eventually hooking a tough fish.
Very cool, IMO.

P.S. to all of ROFF: Never compete with Bruiser on name that
tune/artist/album, at least not in the Rock, Country, or Bluegrass genres.

I'd sponsor him to a game show that tested that stuff.

Let's see, I left off (a week ago) with some on-stream demonstration from
Willi on bank fishing. I will be posting some pics to go along with the
report as I did with the last one, with the first pic being my excuse for
lateness (the basement flooding). I had a problem with the camera on a
couple of occasions so there are a few gaps for trips that I couldn't use
it.

Great reports Mike and pix on ABPF.

I think you're mixing up the two trips, Willi. We were fishing with Mike
and Bruiser. I had just caught a fish in that pool when you came by and
said you remembered another fish from your previous trip to the Ruby,
and there he was, feeding rhythmically on tiny white mayflies. He
closely inspected and refused my caddis dry, you showed him your dry and
droppers, which he also refused, and I tied on a tiny foam-wing fly
which he finally took. It was very cool.

My memory sucks and I take your word for how it happened.

The taking a tough fish is the important part and I remembered that part
right!

One funny thing about that fish, to me, is that I didn't mind losing
him. He had his escape route all planned out and he executed perfectly,
as though he'd practiced, which he may well have. :-) I knew I'd have to
horse him away from that logjam, but the bend of the rod after the take
was enough for him to snag up.

I was awed by your fish-spotting that day. You'd been there a couple of
days earlier, but still ...
