5 years or so ago, myself and Mike R,
we watched an Inshore Trawler (Shellfish dragging !!)
trawl just off the groynes, 30 feet beyond etc,
along the beach at Hengistbury Head Christchurch,
to be fair he did do a slight detour around us where we were fishing.

here in the USA we pay 28 dollars for a yearly fishing license,
and the DNR treat Anglers seriously,
with the proposed! Sea fishing license in the UK,
it will bring a strong voice to preserve Angling and the Inshore enviroment.

It would presumably give sea anglers a paid for voice, but I am scepticle as
I mis-trust nearly everbodys motives these days.

Better if the Government lead the way and gave us a demonstration of what a
license would buy!!

Up here in the north the Scottish Exec would have to run it, and with
proportional representation we could get an angler elected to the parliament
to put forward our views (if the anglers bothered to vote).

£22 for a licence to improve our fishing !!! Yeah right ,like NI pays for
hospitals & Road tax gives us uncluttered toll free motoring, I think not.
