Vermillion, is that red? What do you use red sunglasses for Bob?
Warren "Bob La Londe" wrote in message ... The Maui's I have are a lightly mirrored upper and lower with just smoked in the middle. They give good contrast, and they are excellent during the brightest part of the day. The Costas I have are vermilion, and they are slightly better during lower light periods. "Scott Davis" wrote in message ... It's nice to hear good customer service stories like this. They sound like a first class company, but how about the glasses themselves. You said you had the Maui's and Costa's. How do you like either? What colors do you have? Seems I always am looking for a good pair of glasses, but never had the courage to spend the bigger money. Of course, I have never fished with a "good" pair of glasses either. Maybe they are the latest thing I can't live without... ![]() Scott.... Chetek, WI "Bob La Londe" wrote in message news:1098287588.zgC6fw0XIp7pTlbSKfgOtw@teranews... A lot of us here are always fighting to find the best sunglasses for clarity when fishing. We want to cut the glare and see into the water very well. I have some Costa Del Mars, as well as Maui Jim's. A couple of months ago a pair of my Maui Jim's got left on the front deck of the boat while we were fishing. When I put them back on a temple fell off. It may have been a defect or it may have gotten damaged laying on the deck of the boat. I set them out of the way on the deck. When I picked them up later one of the lenses had gotten smashed. I was not surprised that they had gotten broken under the circumstances. I was disappointed though since that pair of glasses had been a present from my wife for our anniversary. I contacted Maui Jim hoping they would help me out, AND THEY DID. I explained that the damage was not anything I considered to be warranted, but that they were a gift from my wife. For $8.95 for return shipping I sent them my glasses, and they sent me a new pair. Cool. They did say it was a "ONE TIME ONLY: exchange to promote good will with their company, but I was very impressed. I doubt I would have replaced them if I were in their shoes. No, maybe I got the color wrong. If I had to describe it I'ld say it was
somewhere between bronze and amber. It gives unbelievable contrast in low light circumstances over some of my other polarized glasses. Bob La Londe www.YumaBassMan.com "go-bassn" wrote in message ...
