North Carolina streams (with apologies to any Roffians who might be
included):

And Missouri:

Bob,
Neither of those pages open in Foxfire, but the source code looks like it
should open a Windows Media File???

Before I try using IE can you tell me how big the files are, roughly? I
can get about 7 MB/hour and want some idea how long to wait before I
assume something is wrong G

Larry,
That's right. The Missouri file is about 3.9 megs; the North Carolina file
is about 2.7.
Good luck. Let me know about any problems - this is new to me too. And turn
on your speakers. There's some pretty good mountain dulcimer music on the NC
file.

Stunning

I love tiny mountain streams and it seems those in NC are even prettier
than here in Ca. ..... I used to have a six foot six three weight that would
have loved those creeks.

Waiting for the other file to d/load

Glad you liked it. The NC file is my favorite - better material to work
with.

Thanks.
I create the .wmv file with Adobe Photoshop Elements (software that came
with a low-level Epson scanner I bought a year or so ago). I convert the
music to MP3 files with iTunes (but it will not let me convert from iTunes
downloads) so that I can combine the photos and music in the slide show.
Then I post to my web space using MS Frontpage. Frontpage creates the .htm
file and eventually I figure out how to get it posted so that it works.
Frontpage is far more than I need - and excessively complex, IMHO, for an
occasional user like me. APE lets me select a lower resolution for the files
so that they don't require huge amounts of space.

I had the same problem, so I deleted everything up to bob patton in the
address and it took me to a directory where I clicked on the NC Streams
file. It then downloaded the file for me.

Downloading .exe files is a major source of viruses. I'm sure Larry
isn't trying to spread a virus, but I wouldn't download any .exe file as
a matter of principle if I used Windows, which I don't.

If a person were to have current virus-checking software (if you don't,
it's a foolish risk), it's pretty simple to scan the EXE before running
it, and most virus software does this automatically anyway. But if the
decision is made soley on principle...
