..., and the rod (all of mine were 2 piece) was bungied to
the frame butt foreward, tip pointing backward and extending out over the rear tire. Thanks for the suggestion. I am thinking of placing my rods in a PVC pipe and then mount the PVC pipe onto the top frame bar of the bicycle. I am afraid that if I attached the rods to the frame directly without the PVC pipe to protect them, I might break the rod tip when I fell and jumped off from the bicycle (that I kind of have a tendency of doing).
