Glad to hear you'll be around for a while.

Bite me Ken. :} Yeah, yeah. I'm feeling chipper today. I had a kidney biopsy on Monday and got the results back yesterday. Bottom line: I've got *at least* one more fishing season in me, assuming I don't get run over by a bus. ;-) I didn't get the best news possible, but I sure didn't get the worst either. Yesterday I was still a little bummed, but today I feel relieved enough to have a little fun with my friends in ROFB. And thank you for not top posting. ;-) Remove the x for e-mail reply 1996 HD Sportster 1200S. N9JBF. Let's finally be honest... what is killing this newsgroup is those who keep
telling posters all the things they cannot do & all the thing they consider to be off topic. I was a welcome poster here until my knowledge of certain areas of fishing allowed me to go professional, at which time my contributions became persona non grata to some. That is stupid! This group can again be great, but posters will have to just quit being gutless wimps, and instead post what they want regardless of who it might offend. Unfortunately, this group today is as totally useless as the United Nations! Intelligent denizens of Usenet newsgroups never top-post and most are put off by having to put up with it. You won't have a vital, active, busy newsgroup so long as you have a high percentage of top-posting. Same with VT52's and DEC Vax 780, and it's forerunners. You could not easily move around the screen and since a KSR was a paper I/O there was not backing up. |

I suppose when the text was loaded it would scroll immediately to the bottom, probably because the message was appended to the previous. For the life of me I couldn't see the purpose of bottom posting, like a previous person had wrote, it is difficult (or inconvenient) to have to scroll all the way to the bottom through all the previous messages. Oh well, at least I can see both sides of the argument now, not that what I think really matters, but for my own piece of mind I finally understand :-). Chris |

Now, there's 8 inches of freshly fallen snow, so my year might just be done. But, if you have a question or concern, I can certainly give my opinion on that. Where did you go? I suppose it was a toothy critter :{ Now, there's 8 inches of freshly fallen snow, so my year might just be done. 2 inches here and my battery was dead when I tried to leave for a fish fry. I got it started though...Not much will keep me from the Friday nite Walleye fry here in town. But, if you have a question or concern, I can certainly give my opinion on that. I just don't have any fresh experiences to discuss. Ooh, ooh, I have a question. Why do people think this group is dead when others don't post things for them to read? My concern is...Do you know anything about fishing the Mighty Mississippi at Alma? Head hunter called today to ask if I would be interested in spending a year or so there.
