The Commandant of the Marine Corps didn't think the situation was so
desperate that he needed to send the likes of me over there.

Screw the homefries, but as a red-blooded patriot, I did my damnedest
at the other assignment!

Uhhh, btw, homefries? I don't get it. What did burning the homefries
have to do with Korea?

Damned if I know. Burned homefries are far less desireable than properly
cooked homefries. Anyway, in Korea, it should be "keep the kim chi
fermenting!"
