Default OT remission in remission

Ken Fortenberry wrote:
My remission went into remission and the kidney disease returned
with a vengeance. Actually, it's more of an auto-immune disease with
my kidneys being the innocent victims. Since the first course of
chemo didn't work I started a different one today. Naturally, if
I need it and it's expensive, the insurance won't pay for it, but
that's a worry for another day. I finally got a dose of Rituximab
today over the course of seven-and-half-hours with an IV in my arm.

I'd dearly love to hit the stream tomorrow with riverman and the
gear whore but I'm afraid I'm a little too pooped.

I am going to get out eventually though, perhaps as soon as this
weekend and me & the new puppy will fish, camp and canoe until I
have to do it all again. TR to follow.

Ken, I'm truly sorry to hear this. Keep your chin up and fight it hard.

I went through some rough **** that was threatening to shut down my
kidneys about four years ago. The drugs they use these days and the
drugs they use to manage the side effects are amazing and I have
confidence you will be flailing the water soon. Stay rested.

Ken,

Very sorry to hear of your most recent health issue. I sincerely hope
the new chemo works, and you ant the puppy are back on the river soon.

Hmm, try the seven iron. It can be used to hook the nurse. Keep
fighting.

I have no doubt that something that the insurance company refuses to
pay for will be exactly the thing to actually work. You'll be better
in no time.

I'm taking our Jack Russell canoeing with me tomorrow. Should be
interesting.

Take care.

Sorry for the late reply Kenny, but I don't hang out here daily as I
used to...in any event, I'm very sorry to hear of your health problem,
hang in there. You're too damned ornery to get waylaid this early in the
game. Who loves ya baby?
