I'm trying to make this a good place to get supplies and establish myself as a
reputable website owner.

Unless "get supplies" means that he's giving away fly tying supplies
you are as much a bloody ****ing moron as Mr. Ivey, but at least Barry
Ivey has the balls the sign his SPAM, you are just an anonymous nitwit.

You are too kind. Thank you.

yeah, o.k., the sweetness and light path does seem to have its merits.

Sorry to piggyback on your message, but what's going on here didn't sink in
'til later. It would appear that the topic has
changed. . .

1. Spam is an unwanted solicitation to buy something. I did not see that
the original poster asked anyone to BUY anything. Spam is NOT just anything
posted that one doesn't like or happens to disagree with.

Making a post that does nothing but direct the group to a retail site borders
*really* close to spam, although I choose to think the feller was really just
asking for opinions. How about all of these fake "I found this really neat
product" posts? You don't consider that spam?

2. When a brother of the angle asks for a little advice or help, I think it
should be given in the nature in which it was asked. Intimidation and
name-calling are off topic.

Ahhhh, but who is to judge the nature in which is was asked?

3. Civil discourse is sadly lacking in our society. It is possible to
disagree with someone without resorting to profanity and name-calling.
Those are the weapons of bullies, and surely we have more than enough of
those. Perhaps there is a newsgroup called alt.shrill.cuss.bully.infantile,
for those who insist on taking that tack. We are here to discuss fly
fishing. I think it takes more maturity to exercise restraint and remain
silent, than to twist an innocent post into something it isn't.

Shut up, butt face.

4. Barry, you don't deserve to be flamed. Your site looks very
professional, but the products are a bit sparse (understandably, for a new
business) in a few departments. Good luck to you in your venture, it is
obviously a labor of love.

GAG If he can't take some heat, he sure as hell shouldn't be in *this*
kitchen. I've still got the initial burn marks and I've been hangin' around for
a while.

If it's goat-friendly scenery you desire, you can hike not far from
town, into the Sawtooth Mountains, to Goat Lake:

The sanctimonious little prick has pulled the great big stick
out of his tight little ass long enough to clamber down off
his big high horse and insult not one, but two lesser creatures.
It must be a great day to be a sanctimonious little prick, and
don't you think for one minute that I don't appreciate the insult.

And if you think that's the same thing as telling the right-wing
nitwit pinheads to ignore the clearly marked OT political threads
then you are WAY dumber than I give you credit for (and frankly
I give you LOTS of dumb credits).

Does that mean only the left wing nitwit pinheads are allowed to read the
clearly marked OT political threads?

No, it means that nobody, left, right or martian, can bitch and moan
about clearly marked OT political threads on roff.

But then, you knew that already.
