What's hard vinyl on the outside, Styrofoam in the middle and vinyl on the
inside?

If you said John's chewed (empty at the time ) cooler you are correct! And
if you said John's travel trailer full of food and cooking aromas you are
also correct!

Rudy knew there bear was a problem and didn't say a single word to

anyone.

Now ding dong the witch may be dead but the bathrooms are a lot dirtier

and
are not cleaned every day like when Kathy was there.

Additionally, Steve emptied the trash every single day. Rudly does not.
Steve did not have bear problems. See the connection. ...

Holy **** !!!! That is the epitome of irresponsibility. That bear,
having once found food in a spot WILL be back, like clockwork, you
can count on it. That fool Rudy has killed that bear.

what troubles me most is that Rudy knew of the bear and told none of
us... i stumbled up the bear lane in the dark without any light (and it
was real dark) late at night from your place after a consuming a
substantial portion of your special martinis (which was quite good and
THANKS!) to tom and mike's place. if i had known the bear facts, i'd
never have left your trailer until time to get in the truck. of course,
i suppose there might have come a point when the bear would have been
the lesser of the troubles i mighta faced that night...and the next morning.

Actually, he didn't quite tell none of us. He certainly mentioned it
to me very early. Joel and/or Dave saw one near their cabin. Some
folks in a trailer near John's saw one too. There was some discussion
of it, off and on, throughout the week. From the descriptions I heard
and what Frank and I saw, it's apparent that there were at least two
different bears.....probably three. I was under the impression that
everyone knew about the sightings. Evidently this was not the case.

At any rate, Rudy is at least guilty of being pretty blasé about the
whole thing. I wasn't really concerned myself. In retrospect it's
easy to see that we (those of us who new) should have taken it more
seriously.

Did anyone at least inform Rudy of the damage the bear did? With a
campground about to fill up for Memorial Day someone should impress
upon him that he has a very serious problem on his hands.

i nominate you to do just that. it is my thought that if he tries to
blow you off, he will *never* get over the world of virtual **** that will
descend upon him; this may encourage him to actually do something about the
problem, and thereby save someone from inconvenience, injury, or worse.

hmm... well, nobody mentioned it to me until the next day when makela
said something about it and i went with frank to look at the scene of
the crime. that was a dark road i stumbled up and down that night...
all i could think about at the time was that scene in "werewolves in
london" with the fellas out in the moors at night. probably good i
didn't know about the bear...

Hm.....good idea. I had forgotten that Rudy told us he has a website now.
I'll see if I can find it and send him a note.

as was I, my apologies for not relaying. To my knowledge Rudy was aware of
bears in the area, but not campground proper when I arrived. Heard reports on
Sun. of smaller bear down by Cabin #1. Next-door neighbor told me Tues or Weds
about bear-sighting that am.

Did anyone at least inform Rudy of the damage the bear did?

I did, but need to update after John's posts.

or, he could screw up, terrify the regulars and we could have the run of the
place any week we want by next year....actually, I tried to impress upon him
the seriousness of the situation, don't know him well enough to judge the
uptake speed....

fwiw, although the bear is clearly not put off by humans, there is no evidence
of any motivation beyond hunger, and you aren't food.....although that faint
aroma of olives...
That indeed was a dark road you came to our place on.

It had about 40 Flexaril
and 10 Darvocet. Well, half of the Flexaril are gone and all of the
Darvocet are missing.

Well, that explains the whole thing. It was Tom in a bear costume

verrrry funny.......
