Never in my 6+ years have I seen such little activity here.
??????????????????????????

Well, it has been quiet, and I do wish I had something to post but that's
just not to be. My son and I went out fishing on Monday, unfortunately, I
missed the only fish that decided to bite.

Where did you go? I suppose it was a toothy critter :{

Now, there's 8 inches of freshly fallen snow, so my year might just be
done.

2 inches here and my battery was dead when I tried to leave for a fish
fry. I got it started though...Not much will keep me from the Friday
nite Walleye fry here in town.

But, if you have a question or concern, I can certainly give my opinion on
that. I just don't have any fresh experiences to discuss.

Ooh, ooh, I have a question. Why do people think this group is dead
when others don't post things for them to read?

My concern is...Do you know anything about fishing the Mighty
Mississippi at Alma?

Head hunter called today to ask if I would be interested in spending a
year or so there.

Beautiful weather today, forecast hevy rains tomorrow with high seas.
Opening day of crab season, and boat is staying in the storage yard. Did
finish pruning the trees yesterday and dump run today. So probably crabbing
next week and if bad seas, maybe a trip to the Sac Delta for some bass
fishing. Both stripers and LMB.

***Nope, actually it was probably either a smallmouth or a walleye. I was
fishing the edge of a sunken rockpile.

***We ended up with a final total of 12 inches of snow. AND, I managed to
screw up the snowblower. They don't work at all as a chipper shredder, and
after trying to run a small log through the blower, I kind of bent things
up..... But, I did get out for a fish fry at the Al-Gen.

***I do know that there is some pretty good walleye/sauger fishing in the
Alma area. The bass fishing should be good in the backwater areas, and
there's a lot of good hunting in the area as well. That's Buffalo county,
home of some amazingly large whitetail, IF you can find a place to
hunt...... Take the job Dan,

Get that truck equipped with a plow to keep some launches open
longer :}
I remember my first year in Merrill, the new head of parks, a woman,
closed the ramps a month earlier than the previous person did. Was
she surprised how many fisherman and trappers showed up at her office
the following day!!

Well, I should know by Tues, Wed if they are going to offer it to me.
I would rather have the TN job but they are sitting on their hands
yet.

Driving home from work today I saw some guys fishing from the bank near my
house and some more guys loading their boat on the trailer.
What really sucks is when it is almost 80 degrees in November and you can't
go fishing. That's my on topic post for this week.

I know what you mean Joe... I passed too many trucks with boats attached
this morning. I tried not to look too pitiful.
