There is a large body of interesting literature, from Native Americans
and others, which states that the word "squaw" was never considered an
insult by Indians. ...

It's not only an insult it is a racial slur. Perhaps you should
read some of that literature instead of just Googling the surface
of it before you presume to pontificate from afar on a subject of
which you are obviously ignorant.

seriously.

To be more precise, there are very few left here who kennie still fools and
are willing to stand up and say "Why, yes, as a matter of fact, I AM an
idiot."

Wolfgang
who feels he shouldn't need to emphasize that "very few" is not at all the
same as "none."

Verbosity snipped

Hate to tell you, but Joe ain't an Indian. I have no trouble with the
word, but some people do. Leave it at that.

Joe has made a number of more or less vague allusions to a Native American
heritage here but, to the best of my recollection, has never explicitly
confirmed nor denied this. You know something we don't?

I have no trouble with the word,

Admirable.....magnanimous.

but some people do.

Keenly perceptive.

Leave it at that.

I read quite a bit of it, I even bought a number of excellent books
about American Indians, because I found them fascinating, and in very
many ways I admire them. Quite often I read for fourteen hours a day
or more, in the hope of learning as much as I possibly can about
various things.I read a lot, and very fast as well.

You are simply rolling out the bull**** again. It seems that apart
from insulting and provoking people on invariably pretentious and
usually false grounds, which you then blow up into a "righteous war",
and rabbiting on about football and such, you have nothing of any
particular note to impart. Doubtless why you start this crap in the
first place, as otherwise people would simply ignore you.

There are an infinite number of things of which I am indeed woefully
ignorant, and I will doubtless remain so, but that does not mean I go
around browbeating people with my ignorance. You on the other hand
carry your ignorance like a torch, prepared at any moment to
incinerate anybody who disagrees with you. You constantly assert that
you are right, on no other authority than your own blind belief. You
donīt care who you hurt, or what you are obliged to do in order to
press your sick egotistical views.

Sorry, wont work any more. People here know you are a ****, so unless
you have something sensible and worthwhile to say about something or
other, you would be well advised to keep your mouth firmly shut, most
especially in regard to what in your worthless opinion are other people
īs transgressions. You have been guilty of far too many of your own
for people to take you seriously.

Your own words illustrate your profound ignorance far better than
anything I could ever say.

Carry on.

No you donīt, you think itīs clever and witty.Instead of the rank
foolishness it actually is. Even if it were true, which I doubt, as
I recall the gentleman referring to an Indian heritage in the past, it
makes no difference, as he quite obviously did not use the word in
order to start a race riot on here. Mr.Fortenberry of course wished
to do precisely that, as he is just as much a fool as you are.

Fortunately, there is no reason for anybody to give any more credence
to your bull****, than to his. Much less take your advice to "leave
it at that". You donīt have the final word on anything at all.
Indeed, just about all the others are also totally superfluous.

You guys cannot even enjoy a picture book ???

Why don't you keep that racist language to yourself, it's
not appreciated here.

Squaw as an insult is in the tongue of the speaker. If you come to
Anadarko and snear about the filthy squaws you may get shot. If you
refer to your wife dearingly as "My Squaw" people will understand you
love and respect her..
Or you could refer to her as my "Xkwe" a word that has no bad
connotation yet. But in could in 20 years.
