While I don't think they are still interested in fomenting a world wide Proletarian revolution, certainly their view of how the world works would be influenced by their up bringing. g.c. |

Geez, you ask tough questions....willya stick to the trip reports, George!! Seriously, your point is well taken, and the answer, to be consistent would be that you cannot. Is evil a relative or an absolute term? it would seem pretty absolute. And yes, I do worry about the direction Cheney and his neocon buddies are taking this nation down. I do think they are the ones, both politically and in the media, who have fueled the divisive atmosphere(although neither side is blameless). I actually have moments where I worry how this entire regime will handle it when Kerry wins, if he does win. I really fear some hokey suspension of law, state of emergency or the like, and hope I am wrong about the lack of character of these folks. Tom As interesting and important as George's question is, I'm afraid that, like the upcoming election here in the U.S., it is largely moot. Forces have been set in motion that are sending and will continue to send shock waves around the world for decades. What's going on today isn't like that silliness that nobody much gave a **** about over in southeast Asia thirty years ago. THIS **** is serious.....and it's only going to get more so. Those of us who don't already feel like Cole Sear soon will. Get used to it. Wolfgang who, childless, is blessed. |

Can't put anything over on you. (Besides I may need some classy flies one of these days.) But you got to admit you were all wet on whether or not the Enronites were cheating on the energy "crisis" in California. Not now that they got them on tape yuking it up on how they were screwing you folk. Come-on, even a dyed in the woolly, rock rib such as yourself cannot like being robbed? Told ya. :-) Dave Yeah right, whatever :-) Not to worry,I sell to all style of Marxist's. The Red Butted Skunk is a top mover :-) I'm working on a cripple ... that one should be a good one as well :-) I don't remember defending Enron and I pity the poor SOB that is assigned that task... I did, however say to take a look at LA Water and Power... they "stole" as much, if not more...and the CEO then became Davis's energy Tsar. That got glossed over (read omitted) by the LA Times, yet another bastion of Red Butted Skunk buyers :-) Harry Mason www.Troutflies.com |
