NASCAR they gotta grub their filthy paws all over college

No question Michigan is a great team; but I can't get past the notion that a
teams shouldn't be playing for the national championship if they didn't win
their own conference. Some second place team got crowned a few years back,
& it frankly seemed ridiculous to me at the time (I don't follow NCAA that
closely, so I can't remember who or when). And heck, FL went 12-1 with a
pretty tough schedule. It's not a big travesty in my uninformed opinion.

Look on the bright side, LSU was targeted for the Rose Bowl until USC
choked. There wil be no pre-game crayfish boils in Los Angeles that day.

What a ****in' screw job.

Oh bull****, not that I particularly have any love for the FL Gators.
Michigan had their chance against OSU and didn't win, it's time for someone
else to take a shot. Florida played a tougher schedule in a tougher
conference with a conference championship.

This BCS thing is a bunch of crap but it is the *system* the big boys agreed
to. Given the recent bias towards the Big 12, I'm kind of shocked they
didn't give Oklahoma a pass on it's west coast "loss" and put them in.

Playoff anyone?

Yeah, that's the one good thing in this mess, a Big10-Pac10
Rose Bowl just like God in her infinite wisdom intended for
the granddaddy of them all.

What a ****in' screw job.

Yeah, that win over 1-AA Western Carolina was real impressive.
Florida lost to Auburn and barely got by South Carolina, Michigan
lost only to Ohio State in a classic matchup. It was a no-brainer.

This BCS thing is a bunch of crap ...

Amen to that.

Playoff anyone?

Everybody wants a playoff except the only people who can make it
happen. The college presidents in the big 6 conferences will never
agree to share the money with the small fry and it is *all* about
the money.

The #1 team in the country should play the #2 team in the
country for the national title. This year that was Ohio State
and Michigan. Michigan got hosed.

Yeah, it ranks pretty close to Michigan's stellar outing against
Central Michigan.

Florida lost to Auburn and barely got by South Carolina, Michigan
lost only to Ohio State in a classic matchup. It was a no-brainer.

Well there was Michigan's "impressive" (34-26) win over Ball State.
And their "thumping" of Penn State, 17-10.

But the bottom line is how they both fared against my alma mater,
their only common opponent. Michigan beat Vanderbilt 27-7, and Florida
got by them 25-19. So I guess Michigan is deserving afterall.
