I pretty much stay out of these political threads, but I think it's
ignorant to discount how people from other Countries perceive our
actions. You can take the attitude, **** 'em if they don't like it, but
whether you like it or not, we live in a world economy and our position
as the largest economic force is in the process of being usurped. IMO,
if we want our Country to be a strong nation for our descendants, we
need to learn to form strong alliances in this new economic world and
trying to do it by acting like the toughest kid on the block isn't going
to cut it.

I agree with everything you said, Willi. I said "yawn" not because MC is from
another country, but because it is MC.

Sorry if you took it the wrong way. I would gladly talk with someone from
another country, just not MC.

Terry McAuliffe hasn't even started yet, and he doesn't have to resort to
lies. Like it or not, Dave, this might just be a rough reelection for
Bush.

Scott, Bush's ANG record has been investigated more than the Dead Seas Scrolls.
There is nothing there. He did his time, has the points and the discharge to
prove it, yet McAuliffe continues with his lies.

I think it possible that neither Kerry nor Edwards will be nominated. A draft
Hillary movement could prevail.

At any rate, it almost doesn't matter to me anymore. Getting too old I guess.

So, given a choice between ignorant and despicable you choose BOTH ?

I had thought better of you than that.

You're wrong about Kerry's war record, the men who served with him
know the truth of it. You're the last person on earth I would have
expected to spit on a Vietnam Vet, but your partisan politics seems
to trump even your military allegiance.

I had thought better of you than that.

At any rate, no one is going change anyone's mind ergo is doesn't matter
anymore except as a reason to denounce, insult, and find even more reasons
to argue with people over **** which none of us, save our vote (if eligible
in the USA) or monetary contributions, have too much say in anyway.
