![]() "daytripper" wrote in message ... That would have worked a lot better if Steve had said "I don't like fishing with Fortenberry". (= Agent wants to spell that "Whortleberry". wtf? ;-) So I'm better at numbers than comedy, sue me. Fwiw, the truth is he's as entertaining to fish with as anyone with whom I've had the pleasure... Agreed (...and that includes flatlanders who think the Davidson River is worth more than a ten minute drive ;-) Bite me |

It's all about personal preference. I could care less what kind of reel you use, or even if you use a bamboo rod. -- Cut "to the chase" for my email address. |

![]() My mother, who is 77, had a hip replacement in the spring and is getting a knee makeover in the fall. You're in the business so you probably know this, but there is a new and much less invasive & debilitating knee replacement procedure being done that spares most of the muscle and has people up and about much quicker. Hmmm. Too late now but what might that be? The wife had a new knee put in a week ago Tuesday and the doc said it was basically the same as the other knee he did for her in '96. I had hoped he might offer up some advanced hardware but only the surgical procedures seemed to have changed - smaller incision, something he called "bloodless surgery". Still had to cut away some muscle to fit everything in - but she is recovering faster than the last time. What other sort of knee replacement could have been done? Kiyu |

I take off the noisemaker part as soon as I get a new reel. Ignorant question time. How do you do that? I hate the reel noise. I've got the reels that came with the KPOS package deal and I'd much rather have quiet time on the water. Or at least hear only the stream and the wind and my own singing. Cyli r.bc: vixen.
