Default Newbie questions -- after my 1st season of fishing

Sure, you do. As a matter of fact, everybody here knows why. It's for
exactly the same reasons as all the rest of the perennial self-loathers here
do it. And it doesn't work. And we ALL know that too........don't we?

dressing new flies, and learning something new about fishing when
there is nothing left of you but a bad smell in the ether. Enjoy your
silly ranting you old fool, every second you waste on it only brings
you closer to the inevitable....

The sooner the better.

Gee, Mike. You seem so bitter. Why are you so bitter? Is your life
so miserable that you have to come on the ng and call people vile
names?

If that's the case, fire away. I've been called lots of things, and I
no longer have a thin skin.

And, Mike, you really shouldn't talk badly about the dead. It isn't
very cool. It tells me and others *mountains* about your character.
As far as wishing me dead, well, you are the first one that has wished
that. I certainly hope there are no others. One sick puppy is more
than enough in my life.

Dave

PS: Three posts ago didn't you say you weren't going to answer my
posts?

Didnīt you tell me that I was the one prolonging this thread?

What? You are already dead? That explains a lot. Or is that just
from the neck up? You canīt read either, I did not wish you dead, I
just said it would be a good thing if it happened sooner than later. I
donīt really care whether you live or die, it does not affect me,
except that there would be one less fool posting bull****.

To quote a recent poster, ( who may or may not still be with us) , I
"DONīT CARE" what you or any of the other dumbos on here think.

My only interest was in giving a novice some good advice. It would
rather surprise me now, in view of your and other idiotīs behaviour,
if he didnīt take it. Especially as any sensible person reading the
advice and reasons I gave for ti, would be a fool not to, and he did
not seem foolish to me.

Not a pointless rant out of him yet

Newbies arenīt stupid, they are just new at fly-fishing, and many of
them are capable of coming to their own conclusions about nutcases who
rant on and on and on, about pure bull****.

My credibility with regard to fishing advice is really excellent.

Howīs yours?

You canīt browbeat me you old fool, and neither can Fortenberry or
anybody else. You just make yourself look foolish.

You are doing the same thing here you have doubtless done all your
fishing career, the same stupid things all the time, that is why you
never learn anything much, and why you never will. Of course you can
buy fish, but you canīt buy sense.

Now **** off and play with somebody else,I have no more time to waste
on the education of fools.

Default Newbie questions -- after my 1st season of fishing

This might be OK if he was shooting fish in a barrel in Labrador, or
somewhere else where one only has to dangle any old gear in the water,
and immediately catches fish.

Hahahaha. You really need to get out more, Mike. Catching big
brookies in Labrador is anything but easy. There are alot of them,
granted, but unless you present the fly properly - gently most of the
time - you will get skunked, sorta like that Denmark trip. And you
only have to cast the dry fly about 20 feet, but it must land gently
or you will spook them. A #16 Henryville Special works very well.

Now a shooting head would come in handy chucking big Northern Pike
streamers - big ugly purple and white thinkies, but not for gently dry
fly action.

The OP wa given good advice by Ken because Ken knows where, what, and
how the OP will be fishing. There are plenty of flylines out there
far cheaper than you can get them in Your-Up. Can you say, WalMart?
Cabella's? K-Mart? Sears? The OP can but a double taper and get
four seasons out of it by reversing it at the end of two. Or, he may
want a WF line. He should go to his nearest fly shop and ask what he
should use, or, as I have said, call Wally Winters. He gives good and
honest advice.

Why do you keep coming back to roff for this abuse, Mike. You say
something, someone, several people, disagree with it, and you go
balistic. Why is that. How many times have you gone balistic on this
ng. Ten? Twenty? More? I'll go with more. You disagree with me
and Ken and others, and go balistic. None of us have. Why do you
suppose that is, Mike?

Your count on this thread is really up there now, Mike. Better that
50% I bet. But, *you* ain't the one keeping the thread alive, are
you?

You assume you know a lot of things. Your cute sniping from the
sidelines is at least sometimes vaguely amusing, but not much use to
a newbie looking for advice.

In your own way, you are just pathetic as some of these other dumbos,
but the effect is worse, because you arenīt dumb.

Oh, Mike, if ONLY you would stop educating me. I mean, I have had it
up to here holds hands above his ears with your "education".
Funny, I looked up "rant" in the dictionary and it didn't mention
"education."

I hope the OP takes Fortenberry's adivce (or mine by calling Walt
Winter) because Ken knows what the op will be using and for what, and
has fished that way *successfully* for many years. OTOH, all we have
from you is one skunk in Denmark. Glad I didn't fly over for that
"fishing experience." I mean, I can get skunked right here; I don't
need to fly to Germany and then drive to Denmark for a skunking.

Dave

Well, I know that you think I assume that.

All depends on which directions it's flying, huh?

but not much use to
a newbie looking for advice.

From here it looks pretty much like I wasn't offering any advice to a
newbie. ROFF doesn't need me......for that.

In your own way, you are just pathetic as some of these other dumbos,

Ah, how you must wish you believed that!

but the effect is worse, because you arenīt dumb.

Flatterer.

Time and the vitriol from your keyboard are proving George to be a
wise man. Any and all of his characterizations of yourself have been
born out to be quite accurate. Your petty childish tirades are proving
he knew of what he spoke. Perhaps you'll get smarter when your dead
but I don't hold out any hope. BTW he could cast AND he caught fish.

Heh heh heh, Iīld almost forgotten about the resident barely literate
text expert, so easy to ignore. Could you point out a few tirades? I
seem to have missed them? Or are you reading Mr-LaCourses admittedly
rather confused excursions into the minefield of literary endeavour?

George was a wise man? Yeah of course, and youīre a genius, and Iīm
really the Dalai Lama! )

Play nice now kiddies, I have to give a fly-dressing class for the big
boys.

Nope, it is often erudite and amusing regardless of direction. Still
pathetic though.

By the way, 3wts work best if you start with a 11 wff, cut it precisely
into 17ths, take the third section and the 11th section, turn one around,
glue the butts together, and use silly string for a leader, and silly putty
instead of split shot. 'Hic
