If it ain't cyberstalking, it certainly is harassment. Watch out for that
..edu access. They take things like that very seriously.

Forget big hands and little hands, what you need is a digital watch.

What time is it Kenny?

Can't afford one, huh ?

Why do you need to know the time, and if it's that important to
you, why on earth do you keep asking ME ?

Op-

If you're gonna cyberstalk someone like this, don't use your edu account.

Scott gave you some excellent advice. I think you'd be wise to take it.
I also hope that it didn't give Fortenberry any ideas, and maybe prompt
him to do something that even he might regret.

What's the formula, Kevin? :-)

If I had wanted to have Chester's account yanked I could have done so
several times in the past and on grounds far more unambiguous than this
latest round of pathetic cyberstalking.

I used to be the NNTP administrator for a major midwestern University
and you're absolutely right about Scott's advice regarding .edu accounts.

Or this: http://www.cyber-stalking.net/about_cyberstalking.htm , where they
state "Cyberstalking is defined as the repeated use of the Internet, e-mail, or
related digital electronic communication devices to annoy, alarm, or threaten a
specific individual or group of individuals."

I think they would have a problem correlating the repeated asking of what time
it is with stalking, but, at very least, there should be a secret roffian code
that defines it as extremely tedious and boring and, therefore, an offense of
the worst kind.

And since no one else has mentioned it, I will. It doesn't have to be
Ken reporting it, it could some other asshole G who wants to play
net-nanny. I have no idea how seriously they'd take it, whichever
asshole, stalkee or 'nanny, reported it, but I would guess that they'd
fall on the side of caution, and if they didn't cancel it right away,
you'd be on double secret probation or something...

OTOH, I'm not sure the current round of "Whitetrash Cracker vs. Elite
Unpretentious Urban Asshole," being confined to ROFF, is exactly
cyberstalking...anyone know how school admins feel about
cyberslapfighting...?

"Will you tell those assholes to be quiet!?"

"HEY, YOU ASSHOLES, be quiet!"

You're right--cyberstalking is an exaggeration, but when complaints to your
ISP are the same as complaints to your employer, the questions that might
come up just become embarrassing, and something you don't need.
Universities tend to take this stuff very seriously.

I don't care how heavy you and Ken decide to get into it (though it is a
little tedious), but you don't need the kind of trouble your setting
yourself up for. Get yourself a yahoo account or some such, and a freebie
nntp account, and post from there if you plan to keep doing the same type
of stuff.

Scott
