Tennessee Hunting and Fishing License (1999 - 2003)
These are the figures for Tennessee Type: 01 (Resident Hunting* and Fishing)
*Small Game Only 1999: 101,693 2000: 413,427 2001: 415,023 2002: 400,719 2003: 392,976 For some reason, there was a huge jump between 1999 and 2000, another rise for 2001 before slightly declining for the past couple of years. Resident Youth Type: 02 (Hunt/Fish/Trap) Under 16 Years of age. 1999: 12,713 2000: 32,706 2001: 34,626 2002: 33,268 2003: 34,206 This one is remaining steady Resident Sportsman Type: 03/04 Lifetime 1999: 17,175 2000: 59,221 2001: 62,026 2002: 64,165 2003: 64,691 Still rising! Maybe... just maybe there are less annual licenses being sold because more lifetime licenses are being sold? This is just a theory. At any rate, there doesn't seem to be a real decline in fishing in Tennessee, especially when you look at the Youth group and the Sportsmans group. I feel like the totals for 1999 are a little inaccurate, but this is the figures that I received from the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency. -- www.secretweaponlures.com www.outdoorfrontiers.com |

There seems to have to be some explanation, as that just doesn't seem like normal year-to-year activity. I don't profess to know anything about the hunting and fishing situation in TN (or NY, for that matter), but it would seem there's got to be some extenuating circumstance to cause that 300% jump. |

I think so too. But, this is suppose to be complete from the TWRA. I'm going
to delve a little further into it to see what I canb find out about the 1999 numbers. "Marty" wrote in message ... Charles Summers wrote in message ... There's got to be a typo in there somewhere. We have been selling licenses for
years and never noticed a major change from one year to another. Mark McCoybr McCoy's Market Bumpus Mills, Tennesseebr http://www.mccoysmarket.com |
