thanks in advance.. allways on the hunt for the snook..
the season is about to close.. we have about two weeks left.

I hate to be a wet blanket, but I do not want you to get into trouble by
accident.

Snook Closed season
Dec. 15-Jan. 31 of each year & May, June, July, Aug. Gulf, Monroe,
Everglades: 1 per person per day

See http://www.floridagame.com/saltfish/regssnaz.asp

Keep on fishing, but we are back to catch and release.
The only time I get a keeper, they're out of season.

Charlie, down in Venice

charlie , youre not being a wet blanket !! all of us fisherpeople , have
to look out for each other . not to mention the importance of closed
seasons on some species . ive fished tampa bay for almost 42 years now ,
both in and offshore , and have seen some huge changes in the ecology .
except for a very occasional meal , and we keep only what we need ....
we practic catch and release anyway ........................
good fishing to ya , nan
