Default PIKE FISHING QUESTION

I was fishing today for pike using lures.
In one swim I had a jack pike swirl at the lure twice within a space of
about 5 minutes this was right at my feet as the lure was retrieved to the
surface
and in both instances the lure was retrieved on the same line.
then again fishing the same line about 5 mins later I hooked a jack - again
right at my feet.

I was pretty sure the one I hooked was smaller than the first fish.

So what i'm building up to is.

How likely is it that all three follows / takes were the same fish?
how territorial are pike?

the swim is on a river - probably 6 - 8 feet deep and 20 ish feet deep.

Eyes at the top of their head = better visibility for movement above?

Default PIKE FISHING QUESTION

Hi,
It is almost a certainty that it was the same fish.
Pike will lie up out of the current and strike at anything that passes their
noses.
