Default Inlet fishing near Ocean Isle NC

I'll be travelling to Ocean Isle in a couple of weeks and will have
access to a small boat for fishing the waterway/inlet/canals. I'm a
freshwater fisherman and am not that familiar with how to fish these
waters. Does anyone have any pointers for what to fish for, bait, etc.
?

Thanks,

Tom

it must be fresh and get a double drop rig with #2 snelled hooks and be
ready to move try the rivers shallotte saucpan you should enjoy that
more than the traffic and welcome to brunswick county
