I'm trying to find a replacement spool for my Garcia "Cardinal" 154,
(no luck yet), I've been told the Zebco554 is IDENTICAL. If so it
might help my attempts to find a spool.

All info/recommendations appreciated!!!!!

SO FAR I'VE STRUCK OUT!!

I recently called AbuGarcia about my Cardinal Reel - the drag wheel was
broken off. I asked them for information on finding a local rod/reel repair
center so I could go buy another one.

The woman answering the phone asked me what model reel I had, and by the end
of the call, she sent me out a replacement one for free. I said that I
wasn't expecting to pay for it, but that didn't matter.

I had the replacement in the mail in a few days - correct part - and free!!!

So - that's great customer service in my book any day.

Try contacting them directly - http://www.abugarcia.com/home.cfm

Then, on the left - click on "Schematics", then follow the links to the type
of reel, then the series, and finally the model. If that doesn't find your
particular reel - I'd recommend calling them - they sure worked for me.

Not a paid endorser - just a happy customer.

Hope this helps.
