Im currently interested in a very good rod with a length around 9". I
snipped the above reply of yours from the "best fighter" thread.
If you would please tell me how you like the St Croix rod. What series,
Is it well balanced, sensitive, what reel you use, plus any other
critiques about the rod?
Im wanting a 9' light power(8#line) fast action rod to throw weightless
nightcrawlers occasionally a spinnerbait.

I looked-up the Avid Salmon rods at BassPro.

Looks like the AVID series has been upgraded to SC4 graphite! NICE :-)

Just wait now for a place to have them in stock to check one out.
