Default OT very interesting

Last night a local channel had a very brief interview with a guy at UC Davis
doing studies of the brain.

One thing he had done was interview subjects to determine whether they were
"conservative' or 'liberal' or in between. Then each subject had brain
activity monitored. The 'strongly consevative' showed 3 TIMES as much
activity in the 'fear related' sections of the brain !!!

I'm trying to find more info so I document this, but found it so very
interesting I had to post. I've long felt we are likely hard wired, at
least to a degree, to have certain political leanings, and I've read several
reports of studies that seem to be finding that, at least partly, true.

I'll believe that when a real, scientific study has been conducted.
That means a few thousand study subjects, geographically separated,
and many people (not just one "guy") doing the studies.

There are plenty of studies, from many countries and regions. they all
indicate more or less the same. If you want to read them, then you
have to look for them.

All very interesting, as it ( apart from politics), also goes a long
way towards explaining a lot of irrational behaviour.
