Default Hey BassMr.

Joe and I are fishing the Drakes Creek area of Old Hickory this weekend.
Tournament starts at 5:00am.

Got any suggestions? I know you usually fish the upper end, but I'm not
planning on running up that far. I also haven't been on that lake this year.

Default Hey BassMr.

Charles, after my episode w/ the drunk, armed, naked woman up the river, I
have been fishing closer to home.
Early in the morning,be sure to hit any grass beds you see w/ a Scum
Frog, the frog bite has been good the past couple of weeks, and the best color
has been the black frog but the green works too.In the area around Gallatin
marina,to the right of the marina, there is a lot of submerged grass that
grows out about 30-40 yards form the bank, excellent Fluke and Kinami bite
there. In the cove just to the right of that there is as stump field at the
mouth of the cove, hit that with a jig/pig or bone colored crank bait.If the
wind is blowing into that cove,go half way back and cast into the wind w/ a
crankbait or SW and hang on.Down around the dam, along the riprap to the left
of the dam is an excellent place to drop shot. The water is only about 10-12
ft. deep and this past Sunday we caught 4 nice keepers there. We also saw a
smallmouth come way out of the water that looked like the biggest brown fish
I had ever seen.
Over around Avondale access I have been having good luck with a buzzbait
fished as fast as the Curado would pull it.(chartreuse) There is also a fish
attractor at the point down from the ramp, the area behind it has always been
good for a floating worm.
That's about all I know for now,my fishing has been sporadic with the new
Lil BassMr on the ground.
These are some of my good spots but I grant access to you and Joe this
weekend, and if you win I know I can look for a special delivery SW package
real soon.
Good Luck!
