Default Lebaron customer service

Gday all from Australia

I'd just like to let everyone know of my experiences with lebaron

I decided to join their club and order some rods about 6 weeks ago.

My first order arrived in super quick time and I was pretty impressed with
the quality and price...sadly one of the rods (a rapala sportsman) had a 4"
scratch on the blank and a few other ugly marks, It also had a lebaron
$31.50 sale sticker on the butt and arrived without plastic wrap. The rod
was obviously a store demo.
So I took a few pics and forwarded them to Lebaron.

Their response was something along the lines of:
"Check with your post office as we would never send out anything unless its
pristine condition".

Anyway after several emails and expensive phone calls getting nowhere I
decided to let it drop as there wasnt much I could do.

A few weeks back I decided (a little hesitantly) to try my luck again with
Lebaron.

Ordered a total of eight rods, the customer service guy assured me he had
pesonally checked my package and everything was in order...costing a total
of $450 CAN inc freight.

They arrived quickly enough, unopened by customs or DHL in a box only a
complete moron would use (atv gun package) that had about 2 kgs of useless
carboard and the 7ft 2 piece rods were tightly wedged in diagonally.

4 of the rods were in good new condition as ordered.
the other 4 are all Marado branded and every one has the following faults
and defects:
Obvious Scatching, flaking and bubbling guide bondings, knock marks around
the reel seats and joins, one top guide tip is about 10 degrees of centre
and another has bent guide frames....Thes rods can only be described as well
used demos...absolutely disgraceful.

I rang Lebaron this morning to voice my concens and was given the same old
line...check with your post office or dhl for a claim.

After trying to explain this damage could only occur before they were sent
out I was basically accused of lying and being insulting.

So there we have it, I have taken more photo's and sent them to lebaron but
I dont expect any satisfaction whatsoever.

I have been ripped off blindly and treated like a dog.

buyer beware

Sean
