Default Colors in fly tying

Some people in this blog have been to my website and seen my fly
patterns. They all have some questions about my patterns because they
think I have put the wrong color in my patterns. You could see my
patterns at http://www.versacorp.cn . I have read a book and in the
book it discusses whether fish can see color. You could read the
article at http://www.versacorp.cn/default.asp?Display=24 . If fish
could not distinguish color, could we use some bright colors to tie
the flies.

We've been down this road before with you. Here's the deal.....if you
want to tie patterns for your own use, use any colors you want. If you
intend to tie commercially, you must tie true to pattern. Color and
proportion must be correct, and the flies should be tied in the sizes
most commanly used for those patterns.
