Cowaramup hay challenge - by Babs McHugh

Farmers in WA's southwest have banded together to help their drought
stricken brethren in the wheatbelt.

Two years of devastating drought has left wheat and sheep farmers with no
crops and no feed.

Cowaramup farmer Rob Saunders launched the Cape-to-Cape Hay Drive (Cape
Leeuwin to Cape Naturaliste) two weeks ago and hundreds of donated rolls
have been pledged and trucked out to starving stock.

People without hay can also help by purchasing rolls of hay from the
Cowaramup Lions Club for $30 each. The Staff at ABC Southwest pooled
resources and bought two, and they're challenging other businesses to do the
same.

Those interested should contact the Cowaramup Lions Club for more details
