Here's another Q for any experienced pole anglers. Just one that's
puzzled me for a while. If you've got a non-take-apart top three (say
for argument's sake - 3 metres long) and you're fishing a 1 m deep
puddle (!) with another 0.5 m between the float and the rod top - how
on earth do you swing in your catch?

1. Make your rig longer i.e. 4m
2. Get a longer landing net handle.

If it's a big fish like a carp etc, the elastic should stretch a good 8M+,
if it's small stuff your after the elastic should stretch at least 4 or 5
metres as you'll be using very thin elastic, also you dont *have* to hold
the end of the 3 metre pole, you can slide it down so that your hold of the
second piece halfway down!
And a landing net pole of at least 3 metres is better for pole fishing....
