The fly-fishing trip of a lifetime
We will be planning one for 2007.
We are thinking of Patagonia. I care more about the pristine environs & exotic places than catching fish but I would like to catch a few. My wife wants a little warmth. Any suggestions? Where would you go if time and money were not such a consideration? -- Fred |

I'd probably go for a winter trip to the Seychelles -- bonefish, trevally, wahoo, pompano, barracuda, and more. -- Cut "to the chase" for my email address. |

No you wouldn't. Remember, you won't pay to be guided in Labrador.
Besides, aren't you afraid that your neuticles might get wet? Op "Ken Fortenberry" wrote in message et... I'd leave the wife at home and fish for wild, native brookies in Labrador. Warm and fly fishing just don't go together for me. -- Ken Fortenberry |

In particular, that once you get there, it's not that expensive. Trout fishing is my favorite by far, but I've always had a hankering to do the Amazon Queen...20 LB peacock...the strike is explosive... Plenty of warmth for the Mrs. and much tourist stuff too....I can hear me now, "No honey, you go ahead and go shopping, I'll just hang around the beach in Rio.....but only because I love you so..... john |

Ideally, you send the wife where she'll enjoy herself and you pick a good spot in Patagonia for you. If you must go together, try to find a beauty spa in Patagonia that's near some good fishing and send her off for her massage and pedicure each morning when you take your fishing gear and go out another way. -- r.bc: vixen Speaker to squirrels, willow watcher, etc.. Often taunted by trout. Almost entirely harmless. Really. http://www.visi.com/~cyli |
