can anyone tell me what i need to begin course/fly fishing

Pretty much what you would use for equivalent sized trout. Your reactions
might need to be different though.

So from #3/4 floater for dace dry-fly fishing (lightning reactions might hook
one in six.) to a #10 wf to push 20cm wire rigged lures for pike.

In general longer, lighter rods are useful as banks are rarely manicured and
some coarse fish are more easily spooked than trout.

Now is a good time to put a big, bushy dry over a chub - or try a popper -
but don't scare them. Hmmmm. a streamer should attract perch too atm.

I thought it would be 2 rod licenses, coarse and game.
I may have to stand corrected though, I havn't been fishing for almost
20 years but suddenly got the urge to go again. Shame the ex wife sold
all my gear but now I can get some really decent tackle .
