Default Suggestions for fishing lake dillon CO [for fishing newbies]?

Is fly fishing too "advanced" or could we hope to succeed just a bit
....

Our family is on vacation. At a last minute we have rented a fishing
boat on lake dillon CO for tomorrow morning. We are rank newbies to
serious fishing (couple of times a year we take our cheap spin casting
rods to lake near Fort Worth and catch mostly pan fish.)

We didn't expect to fish so we'll have to buy whatever tomorrow at
WalMart (opens a 7:00 AM; boat rental is 8:45 AM).

Recommenations on what kind of fish should we target?

Suggestions on what rods, reals, bait we should buy?

Thanks in advance for your help,

Mark

P.S. We've already spent $$$ (most of our vacation budget) on a fly
fishing guided half day earlier this week. I could not attend but my
wife and kids enjoyed the outing. Sadly, I don't think they learned a
lot .... though each did catch and release several small trout.

Mr. Fortenberry:

You can call me on my business' toll free line and leave a voice mail
[800 520-5227] to verify that I am not whoever this "Tim Walker" is. I
will check my voice mails after we get back from dinner ~ 9:00 PM.

I will make it a point to return your call.

Sincerely,
Mark

Thanks everyone for your help.

My wife and I did fish Lake Dillion last Tuesday and Wednesday. Sadly I
couldn't get a wireless connection from the family that let us stay at
their Breckenridget home (still under construction). I should have been
think very low tech ... and brought a phone cord for old fashion dial
up access. II missed the last two posts very informative posts. ARGH.

We did catch two brownies the old fashioned way, on spin cast rigs with
worms. The senery was breathtaking. We had a wonderful time.

Defination of water tortu renting a "fishing boat" with only a 15 hp
motor. Upon leaving the Dillion marina we laughed at the warning about
not exceeding the 5 mph wake limit. If only we COULD get up to 5 mph.
College kids in kayaks were zipping past us....:)
