Default mini crawfish imitation?

Hi All,

How do you guys imitate an extrermly small, juvinile,
1/2" long crawfish (crawdad)?

I use a small Woolly Bugger in tan or olive with a pair of peacock
herls tied into the marabou tail as antennae. Adjust the color to
match your local population.

Ditto. exactly why WBugger is one of your must have immpressionistic
basics, like a row in the box at least, small to #8 round here, in
lite green, tan, and dark rust or some such range. Some beadhead.

May it is just me, but I can not catch anything
when I use a bead head. Since I have tossed
all my bead head patterns -- including Wolly
Buggers -- I have never caught so many fish in
my life!
