MAybe in your lakes and rivers

I ate him and I am still alive 18 years later, and I don't glow in the
dark :-)

She doesn`t have pierced ears or anything else that is pierced that I can tell.
She is a quite handsome young woman and I would love to pierce a certian part
of her. :-)

Default Keeping some fish to eat

I remember back when I was young and living on the farm in SW Georgia. Used to go to Jordan's General store every Saturday when he would get a barrel of mackerel fillets packed in rock salt. Fried mackerel fillets.....the other breakfast meat.... Of course the leftovers got packed in biscuits for mid morning snacks.....

there is absolutely, without question, nothing better than native brook

Couldn't make me eat a trout

Wow. Can't fathom that, but to each his own.

Still, I prefer flounder to any of them, and cod to most

Cod, eh? How about mackerel or striper? I'm not a fan of mackerel...way
too oily, though they're a kick to catch on a Xmas tree. Striper's good.
If I couldn't have a brook trout, I'd settle for swordfish.

Very good idea. Trouble is she already knows I fish. :-(
There was another occasion when talking about catch and release. She asked
that if
I put a worm on a fishing line with no hook and threw it out and the fish took
it and I knew the fish took it, wouldn`t that be the same as catching the
fish? :-)

Tell her that would be cruel, cause worms DO have feelings. How could
she be so insensitive?

It ain't the same, not even close, I do this all the time, when I'm
testing new stuff in my little testing pond, as well as filming in
tanks, and demo'ing in the Bass Pro SHops aquariums, and many guys who
don't want to "hook" the fish, in pre fishing a tournament, do it.

The fight is much better than the strike,, you get to hold the fish,,
weigh the fish if it is large, and landing a fish is sometimes harder
than getting him to hit the lure, as I recently found out, setting the
hook can be as well

TTI and others, sells nose screws, you can use these without hooks to
hold the lures to your line

Default Slot limits (was Keeping some fish to eat

It is also important on slot limit lakes where DNR is encouraging fish
harvest of the smaller fish. If you won't eat them, find a neighbor,
friend, or someone at the dock. Very hard on some lakes to get anglers
to keep fish....I'm all for catch and release and sometimes, it's catch
and release into the grease.

We talked fishing for a few mnutes, then I went back to working. About
15 minutes later his wife brought me over a plate....deep fried fish,
coleslaw, beans, and hot buttered cornbread, I thought I had died and
gone to heaven ! I usually leave the fish I catch at the lake, but
next time out, I think I will bring a few of the critters home with me
grin!

Cod? Love cod, catching and eating, nothing out there I'd rather have than a
good cod fillet, Now where are those cod pictures I have!!!!

Cod are just ugly. You're doing them a favor by eating them. By the way, its
the best fish there is for making fish 'n' chips.
