Default What fish is this?

Anyone know what fish this is? I say fathead minnow but it seems to be
bigger than the 3 1/2" max and I think I saw a 5" one.

Sorry, I failed to say where it was caught. It's in western PA in a
freshwater pond.

Looks to me like a common chub, also called creek chub - found in still
& moderately moving waters all over the northeast.

From:

| Presuming that you captured it in the sacred Tibamasuka River in
| Tibet, I would judge it to be the dreaded Mongolian Sherpa Snapper.
| You were lucky to get away with all your fingers!
|
| BTW -- Since you didn't say where you caught it I think I'm pretty
| close in my SWAG. If you caught it some other place than Tibet
| disregard my answer.
|
| Cheers...

I quote the OP in his reply to himself --

I had a fish biologist ID it for me. It is a creek chub. Looks like
Pete H. nailed this one.
