Default Small outboard engine

What are the main product attributes that you look for when deciding
which small outboard engine you want to purchase? How big of a factor
is price in your decision on a scale of 1 to 5 (1-not a factor at all,
5-major deciding factor)?

Some lakes specify 10hp or less are allowed only.

Price is a factor of 5 as engines are expensive.

Price and reliability both rate a 5.

5 for me would include reliability, cost, and power/weight relative to
boat/canoe's capabilities. I do not consider cost and price to be the
same; good value for the money is far ahead of simply low purchase price.
