Can anyone identify and locate this fly?
It almost looks like a Coho fly used on the southern coast called a Christmas tree except leave the eyes out.It can also be tied with pink flashiboo for Pink salmon or green for
Coho and Steelhead. Finding instructions is hard but the fly it self is not.Try a couple with out the eyes and see for self. Can anyone identify and locate this fly?
It almost looks like what we use here on the coast of B.C.Without the eyes it would be called a Christmas Tree.Effective for Coho & Steehead. Also in a green flashaboo which is
more popular. Another variant is pink and that is for Pink salmon.A hard pattern to find on the net just basically wrap silver foil on the hook then att. different colours of your choice flasa boo John Scherrer wrote: I'm desperate to identify, locate and buy this fly I bought on a trip to Alaska and is the best fly I've used for our Lake Erie steelhead run. http://www.cianow.com/GRAPHICS/magic-fly.jpg Its beyond my ability to tie....please also email me direct Thanks http://www.cianow.com |
