Default ot--thanks to bruiser for turning me on...

to the "mature" steve earle. i had seen him in "heartworn highways",
the great mid-70's show now available on dvd, with guy clark, townes van
zandt, rodney crowell, etc--but he was just a juiced out kid hammering on a
gibson j50, obviously in awe of the other talents.

but i will be damned if he can't rock the country sound about as good as
i have heard for quite a while.

the mormon chicks will *not* have a favorable response, however...

thanks again for the surprise cd gifts.

Well sometimes in the evenings I start to get that feeling
Like I'm empty inside
I know I'm doin' good now but tonight I'm headed downtown
Down by the riverside

I sit underneath the freeway with an old friend from the old days
And a bottle of wine

.....He's not what I listen to while traveling or sitting or relaxing...but
there are those moments, late at night .. well, it's hard not to break out
the air guitar...
