Default my trip to Randy's...

Let me begin with...WHY DIDN'T SOMEONE WARN ME!?! Seriously though, he
is one hellva guy and taught me a lot in one and a half days of fishing! So
let's go over a bit of what I learned...

First..if you hook yourself with a rat-l-trap..don't tell Randy. The
gut-busting laughter makes it hard for him to unstuck ya..

Randy taught me how to set a hook properly. Something I sorely needed.
Only toko losing a few bass to get it down. I also learned that when Randy
has a pickerel on board - under no circumstances turn your back on him.
I also landed my first bass on a buzz-bait as well as learned how to work
some other styles of lures.

Overall - this trip was a wonderful learning experience and a hellva lotta
fun..Randy couldn't have made it any better.

((((((((It was funny)))))) (wish I took a picture)

(((((I'd say.... that nervous pulling twitch thing scared me))))))) But
you done did good son!!

(((((((That's a given, someone's getting a fish launched at him))))))

(((((ya did ,didn't ya?. heck of a battle there with that there fish,
scrappy... I also saw Chris launch a rattle trap further into the woods than
the previous record holder. I beleive Chris's rattle trap went through a
pine and oak and a birch tree before winding itself around a branch of the
4th tree in. Total distance was shortly under 100 yds.))))) Also very
funny.....

All in all it was a good time out. I wish the weather would have
cooperated more and we had some more fish to catch but with all the rain
that came in the past few days the water was like chocalate milk, the bite
was slow and the water was cold. I managed 9 bass and Chris got two. The
biggest was in at just under 5lbs on the digital scale the rest anywhere
from dinks to 3 pounds plus. Most of my fish were taken on a zoom horny
toad. These started working later in the day and accounted for most of the
good fish caught. A 5/0 matzuo hook was just the cure for my problems with
this bait earlier last week. If you rig it right you can have an exposed
hook and still have a weedless presentation. Just awesome.

PS pickerel love it too. caught about 6 of them as well.

Good times Chris. stay away from the cheese!!!!
