i need a fishfinder for my ship.
can anybody tell me what is a good brand.

I have a Humminbird portable, but it's very old.

I spoke with a salesman at a local fishing store, and he said that
Lowrance currently makes the best fish finders. They also sold Eagle,
Humminbird and maybe some other makes.

I'm just passing along what I was told. It is a reputable store, and
the staff usually know their equipment.

get a catalogue from Bass Pro Shops. They are a large chain with a huge
amount og choices.
